This client came to me needing a functional and peaceful space to conduct business. The rest of her home followed a Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, so it was important this space fit with that theme.

We also faced the challenge of a 16-foot fluorescent light that spanned an entire wall, which was too costly to remove. So, we improvised and made a truly gorgeous accent light from strips of wood going its entire length.
Custom Light Fixture

We tied the room together by using the same wood strips on the closet doors. As you will see in the Big Reveal, the use of deep purples and sharp geometric shapes lends to a tranquil feeling, along with crisp, clean lines.
The design process on this project was challenging and so much fun! The stark contrast between what the client was working with before she met me and what possibilities we were able to present her brought me so much joy. One of my personal favorites is the sputnik light fixture hanging from the ceiling. The original ceiling was metal, so we added charcoal gray chevron wallpaper stripes to contrast the already-existing white metal to make the space feel more open and welcoming.
